1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Solve the Mystery, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Solve the Mystery is a multiplayer murder mystery game application that allows users to:

• Create and host murder mystery game sessions
• Join games created by other users
• Play assigned character roles
• Interact with other players in real-time
• Submit deductions and receive AI-generated game resolutions

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Conduct

When using Solve the Mystery, you agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use offensive, inappropriate, or vulgar language or content
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other accounts
• Use automated systems to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the App
• Share content that infringes on intellectual property rights

5. Intellectual Property

All content in Solve the Mystery, including but not limited to stories, characters, artwork, designs, logos, and software, is owned by Solve the Mystery or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use our content for commercial purposes without permission
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

6. User Content

Any content you create or share through the App (such as in-game notes or messages) remains yours. However, by sharing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating and improving our services.

7. In-App Purchases

The App may offer in-app purchases for additional stories or features. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. Prices may change at any time without notice.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLVE THE MYSTERY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Solve the Mystery and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Solve the Mystery operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
